A Santa Barbara motorcyclist died in Thousand Oaks Jan. 7 following a high-speed chase with the California Highway Patrol. Darnay commits to UCLA

ROYAL FLUSH—Darnay Holmes, a senior superstar for Calabasas High’s football team, announced his commitment to UCLA on live television during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 7. Holmes is one of the best cornerbacks in the country, helping the Coyotes win back-to-back CIF-Southern Section championships. He had 69 catches for 1,214 yards and 17 total TDs this season.
