Young leaders


The Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation is accepting applications to the Youth Leadership Program for students in grades nine through 12.

The program will kick off its 13th year in November. Teens accepted into the program will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and learn from a variety of speakers with different perspectives.

The virtual program will be conducted online.

Meetings will be at 4 p.m. Wed., Nov. 17, Dec. 1, and in 2022, Jan. 5, Feb. 2 and 16, March 2 and 16, and April 6.

Community service credit will be given based on attendance.

Enrollment in the program can be looked upon favorably by college admissions screeners.

Previous participants have appeared before their local school boards and city councils to share the program opportunities.

Space is limited. Applications are due to the Future Foundation by Tues., Oct. 26. Students will be notified of their acceptance into the program by Wed., Nov. 10.
