Young artists reimagine Peter Pan

Young Artists Ensemble Alumni and Friends will present “Peter and the Starcatcher” at 7:30 p.m. Thurs. through Sat., Jan. 12 to 14 and 2 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Jan. 14 and 15 at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Directed by Francesca Barletta, the Tony-winning play about the origin of Peter Pan is written by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker, musical direction by Natalie Hightower and choreography by Kurt Kemper.

Suitable for the entire family, proceeds will benefit Young Artists Ensemble.

The production features a dozen actors playing more than a hundred characters.

“Starcatcher” marks Barletta’s directing debut. She has starred in many YAE productions and is one of the founding members of YA4Ever.
