You can like it or leave it

People that complain about traffic enforcement in our community has become annoying. In a letter last week, an outraged Calabasas resident fumed over police officers that “are ticketing for any traffic violation” and even provided several examples of those out of control cops in action.

Based on my experience, the drivers written about on Reyes Adobe and the 101 were most likely driving well over the speed limit at the time they were “harassed.” I have no doubt the Bay Laurel driver was either rolling through a stop sign or speeding in a school zone while generally endangering the lives of everyone in her path before she was hassled for no reason.

For some reason, the traffic laws in this area are strictly enforced—deal with it. Instead of whining about traffic tickets that were probably well deserved, drivers should just be more cautious and stop breaking the law. It really is that simple.
