Worried about Agoura growth

Harry Schwarz said that traffic on Kanan Road remains a problem and, “I want to continue the work initiated by Mayor Bill Koehler to see if we can alleviate some of the heavy traffic on Kanan Road by working with the school districts, by changing pickup and drop-off times and perhaps creating a regional traffic task force.”

It was Schwarz and Weber— both running again for City Council— who voted for the massive overdevelopments: Cornerstone and Agoura Village, which will increase the already horrific traffic on Kanan Road to an insurmountable level.

When the developer wanted to increase the already gigantic Cornerstone by 38 percent, both me voted yes. That is what will make traffic unbearable, not the schools. Please, everyone, vote both of them out. They have had their chance to fix the traffic and what did they do? They voted to make it even worse than we can begin to imagine.

Voting for developments that will bring 20,000 additional car trips per day into our town should certainly get them removed from the council. If that doesn’t do it, I don’t know what will.
