Workshops provide means to reduce stress

The Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara will hold a free two-part workshop titled “Mindfully Shifting Stress” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., July 18 and 25 at 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.

The sessions will cover mindful living principles and why it’s natural to become stressed.

Participants can discover tools and exercises to help manage stress as well as learn about the free Stress Shifter app that is said to help persons operate from a calm, centered and creative place.

The workshop leader, Lindsay Leimbach, has 27 years of experience working with severely emotionally challenged individuals and their families. She has taught seminars on mindful living, active awareness and positive emotional and physical change.

She is a mindful living coach working with adults, teens, and children.
