In preparation for the Westlake Women’s Club’s professional fashion show “Fashions On Parade,” club members, including silent auction co-chairmen Jeanne Edwards and Judi Menger and benefit volunteer Eleanor Donnelly, recently gathered for day-long gift basket wrapping session.

Hundreds of items were combined into dozens of baskets for the club’s 42nd annual spring fundraiser which has collected and dispersed hundreds of thousands of dollars to local, regional and national philanthropies since 1968.

The many items up for auction or combined into gift baskets included English tea, spa packages, dinner and theater tickets, hotel weekend get-aways, party boat excursions on Westlake Lake, and a Mammoth ski resort vacation.

“Fashions on Parade,” a professional fashion show for all ages and produced with The Oaks mall, will be at 10 a.m. Fri., April 1 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

The Westlake Women’s Club is a philanthropic, all-volunteer organization and a member of the California and General Federation of Women’s Clubs.
