Women’s business group honors Buxbaum

Sarah Buxbaum, owner of Custom Cupcakes by Sarah, was honored by eWomenNetwork, Calabasas chapter as the Emerging Leader Nominee for 2018.

She will attend the 2018 Rise Conference in Dallas from July 12 to 14, where she will represent the chapter and be honored on stage in front of thousands of businesswomen from across the world. She will vie for the title of Emerging Leader of the Year.

The chapter has raised funds through monthly raffles held at meetings. Each dollar goes to the eWomenNetwork Foundation, a nonprofit. The donations have allowed them to nominate Buxbaum for the award.

Buxbaum beat out several women ages 22 to 29 who were interviewed by the chapter’s advisory board.

Her nomination comes with a one-year membership to the chapter and mentoring from the advisory board.

She will work with the local executive managing director, Toni Caruso, to host entrepreneurial workshops for high school students throughout the area.

EWomenNetwork is a networking group with 500,000 members and 120 chapters in the USA and Canada.

The Calabasas chapter has a membership of 100 professional women throughout Ventura County and the San Fernando, Conejo and Santa Clarita valleys.
