Woman shouldn’t have planted trees without permission

Woman shouldn’t
have planted trees without permission

I am a Boy Scout from Troop 745 working on a citizenship merit badge. I want to express my feelings about the woman planting the coastal oak trees in Oak Park.

The (Municipal Advisory) council is telling her if she wants to plant trees in the park she must first have permission to plant them. The trees have to be planted correctly or else they might not be able to survive. The trees might be too close to the sidewalk and cause damage. If some trees are too close together, the roots can form together causing the trees to grow badly.

I think that the woman is trying to help the community and is doing a good deed but she should have asked for permission before going through with the act. Now it may cause more harm than good. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
