WLV revs up for car show, street fair

Local bands, dancers, martial artists to perform for visitors

The Rotary Club of Westlake Village will host the 24th annual Westlake Village Street Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., April 22 on Lakeview Canyon Road, between Agoura and Watergate roads.

The family- and dog-friendly community event will have over 100 vendors selling and showing arts and crafts, home décor, jewelry, toys, clothing, housewares and electronics.

The festival will also feature a Pet Zone with pet-oriented vendors, gourmet food trucks, a craft beer garden and wine tasting area, classic car show with over 70 vintage cars and a Kid’s Zone with activities.

Mojo Filter Blues, Jukebox Rockers and Step-N-Out Band will provide music.

Lacombe Karate, Amanda Welti’s Zumba dancers and the Claddagh Irish Dancers will give demonstrations.

The Newbury Park High School Strings/Chamber Orchestra will also perform.

The classic car show is still taking applications. Those with vintage or classic cars are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible.

All funds raised by the event will support local organizations like Manna, Meals on Wheels, Senior Concerns, KCLU Public Radio and the YMCA.

Chartered in 1972, the Rotary Club of Westlake Village meets each Wednesday at noon at the North Ranch Country Club. The club is comprised of businessmen, businesswomen and local leaders.
