The director of the G-rated show is Devery Holmes. The music directors are Jim Holmes and Shelley Saxer, and the choreographer is Miriam Durrie-Kirsch.

This production includes all the songs from the classic movie including “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead,” “If I Only Had A Brain,” “We’re Off to See The Wizard,” “The Merry Old Land of Oz” and “Over the Rainbow.”

Rehearsals will run Jan. 18 through March 10.

Actors should come to auditions 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and have their photo taken. Prepare 16 to 32 bars of a musical theater song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in the correct key or a prerecorded accompaniment with no vocals.

There will also be a movement audition, so dress appropriately. Bring jazz shoes and, if auditioning for a featured dancer role, bring tap shoes.

Auditioners will be asked to read from the script.

This production is non-Equity with no pay.

Besides the principal characters, the show will need an adult ensemble of singers and dancers, ages 16 to 75; a youth ensemble of singers and dancers ages 7 to 15 to play various roles; and a wellbehaved, housebroken small dog to play Toto.
