Wildlife Federation wants a stronger presence in local vicinity

A group that helps wildlife wants more space locally to treat injured animals.
In 1996, the Wildlife Foundation transported hurt and sick animals in the Malibu area to animal hospitals in Santa Barbara or San Diego.
In April of 1999, the group was given a free facility by the California State Parks, which sits in Malibu Creek. Crowding at other sites created the need and the hospital expanded its services as it became more established.
