 FINE FEATHERED FRIENDS—Bambi Corso photographed these two nesting barn owls in her Thousand Oaks backyard. It is a rare daylight sighting of these nocturnal creatures. Barn owls are world-class rodent hunters, with excellent night vision for hunting rats when they’re most active. Currently, barn owls are busy nesting and getting ready to lay eggs.
