Westlake Yoga owner moves to YogaWorks

Paulette Dwyer, the owner of Westlake Yoga for more than 12 years, has left her business to become general manager of the new YogaWorks in Westlake Village, which is set to open in August.

Dwyer has worked for more than 30 years in the yoga industry. She’ll be responsible for creating educational programs in yoga, health and emotional well-being at the new Westlake studio.

“Paulette is familiar with the interests of the residents and has a deep-rooted appreciation for their needs,” said Phil Swain, president and CEO of YogaWorks. “We are looking forward to helping students foster a deeper connection with yoga at YogaWorks, and Paulette will be instrumental in fulfilling our mission to make yoga accessible to everyone.”

Dwyer received certification from the Integrated Yoga Therapy Program with Joseph LePage, Ana Forrest and Rod Stryker, and has an extensive Iyengar background. She earned her undergraduate degree in physical education with a kinesiology emphasis at Long Beach State University and obtained her graduate degree in psychology. She established a practice as a licensed marriage, family and child counselor in Westlake Village concentrating on mental wellbeing

“This new journey as general manager of YogaWorks Westlake Village has increased my passion to serve the yoga community and to invite more people to enjoy and experience the total mind and body benefits of yoga,” Dwyer said.

YogaWorks has locations in Los Angeles, Orange County and New York.
