Westlake Village voters will decide in November whether to continue the city’s hotel bed tax that’s been in effect for 20 years.
Following a decision by the California Supreme Court, up to 100 of the state’s 476 cities are required to ask voters to reaffirm the tax, also known as the transient occupancy tax or TOT.
A tax imposed by the city of La Habra led to the Supreme Court ruling in June.
