Westlake Village approves city manager raise

Rob de GeusThe Westlake Village City Council approved a cost-of-living raise for City Manager Rob de Geus, a 3% increase over his current salary of $229,730 a year.
In addition to the extra $6,890 he’ll receive, de Geus will get another 80 hours of paid time off tacked on to his current vacation time. The city is also paying medical benefits for the 50-year-old.
Mayor Kelly Honig said the wage increase is part of the contract de Geus received when he came to the city in March 2019.
