On July 2, the Ventura County Environmental Health Division received confirmation from the California Department of Public Health that mosquitos sampled from the City of Ventura during the last week in June tested positive for West Nile Virus.
This is the first mosquito sample collected in 2019 from Ventura County to test positive for WNV.
