Ways to help the food bank

Manna is open for donation drop-off from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Unexpired, nonperishable food items that are unopened and in good condition are welcome. Home gardeners can also drop off fresh fruits and vegetables that are ripe and in good condition.

Financial contributions can be made at mannaconejo.org.

The organization generally has enough volunteers in December, but needs help during the year. People interested in helping can fill out an online volunteer form.

Conejo Valley residents needing help can pick up food once a month at 3020 Crescent Way, Thousand Oaks from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Last clients are taken 30 minutes prior to closing.

New clients can fill out a questionnaire, provide photo ID and a recent (within 60 days) utility bill as proof of residency. Subsequent visits will only require a photo ID. The organization also asks clients to bring their own bags.

Manna serves only those cities along the 101 corridor between the Calabasas Grade and the Conejo Grade.
