Jay Lewitt of Agoura Hills and Lynda Lo-Hill and Lee Renger of Calabasas, members of the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District board of directors, took the oath of office at last month’s meeting to begin new four-year terms on the panel.

Renger has served on the water board since 2005, and Lewitt has sat on the board since 2014.

Lo-Hill replaced Glen Peterson, who retired from the board after 32 years.

All three ran unopposed in the November election.

At the same meeting on Dec. 7, Lewitt was elected as president of the board, Len Polan as vice president, Charles Caspary as secretary and Lo- Hill as treasurer. The offices are for two-year terms.

Triunfo Sanitation District director Janna Orkney was recognized as chair and LVMWD president Lewitt as vice chair for calendar year 2019 of the Las Virgenes-Triunfo Joint Powers Authority, at the authority’s Jan. 7 meeting.

Las Virgenes Municipal Water District provides potable water, wastewater treatment, recycled water and biosolids composting to more than 70,000 residents in Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Westlake Village and unincorporated areas of western Los Angeles County.
