Wants the ‘hood to be quiet again

My neighborhood and community about every weekend have been disappointed by the lack of action in trying to silence the street racers and drifters who gather in the Bristol Farms parking lot in Calabasas very late at night.

We have contacted security and local authorities to have a better grasp of the situation. Bristol Farms replaced their current security with another company in hopes of being able to quiet down the rowdiness of the crowds that form so late at night.

After a couple of days of no noise and roaring engines, it seemed like everything was calming down, but about a week later, the same antics began all over and hasn’t stopped since.

NextDoor has been a great way for neighbors to express aggravating the noises are especially past 12 in the morning.

The Calabasas community has seen police in the Bristol Farms parking lot mainly during the day, but all the issues are at night.

I have driven to the lot to see a mass group of people especially, during COVID. What’s even more aggravating about it is that there was a police car just watching all the cars going off and letting them rev their engines as loud as they can. Police have been warned more than seven times in one night to go and at least scare off the noisy drivers.

Calabasas has a knack for car collectors, desirable upgraded cars, and I think it’s an incredible community to see. I don’t believe that the drivers are going out to cause such a commotion as their sole purpose; however, we as a community need to be able to keep areas quiet at such late hours of the night.

I hope the situation gets resolved.
