Wake up, concert goers: Everly Brothers tribute

The Everly Set: A Celebration of the Everly Brothers is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sat., Aug. 21 at the Scherr Forum. 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.

In 1957, teenagers Phil and Don Everly released the hits “Bye Bye Love” and “Wake Up Little Susie.”

Now, six decades later, two New York City singer-songwriters have combined forces to become the Everly Set starring Sean Altman and Jack Skuller.

Altman is an award-winning songwriter. He founded Rockapella and composed the Carmen Sandiego theme song.

Skuller is a winner of the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Holly prize in songwriting as well as former Disney Records and Radio Disney artist.

Altman and Skuller bring the Everlys’ sparkling hits to life with technical bravado, visual style and affectionate humor.

The set list includes “Bye Bye Love,” “Wake Up Little Susie,” “Cathy’s Clown,” “All I Have To Do Is Dream,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “Crying In The Rain” and “Let It Be Me.”

The show is suitable for all ages.

The event is subjected to COVID-19 pandemic mandates and regulations. The event status is subject to change.

Tickets are $40 and are available from ticketmaster.com.
