The budget crunch in Sacramento has prompted local officials to consider several new tax measures for the ballot this fall.
Taxpayers will be paying not only an increase in their vehicle license fee, but also local homeowners will face the prospects of two new parcel taxes to help cover the cost of schools and government.
The new taxes could add up to hundreds of dollars annually for some families.
