An informational session for those interested in serving as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for foster children will be take place Wed., Nov. 30 in Camarillo.
CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers citizens as court officers to be a reliable adult and advocate for an appointed foster child.
Volunteer advocates typically handle one case at a time. They commit to advocate for the child until they are placed in a safe, permanent home.
