Students from Viewpoint School in Calabasas were recently treated to a field trip at Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) to participate in the observance of International GIS Day.
GIS stands for "Geographic Information System," and the eighth- and ninth-grade students who attended the event learned how geography and computer technology can be integrated to help in the world of business.
