Viewpoint grad surges for Lake Forest College

A Patriot is tearing up the hardwood in college.

Aram Arslanian, a Viewpoint High graduate, finished his sophomore season on a strong note for the Lake Forest College men’s basketball team.

Arslanian helped the Foresters finish 17-9 overall, 13-5 in the Midwest Conference this season. In his last 12 games, Arslanian averaged 15 points, five rebounds, two steals and 1.5 assists per outing for Lake Forest, a Division III team located 30 miles north of Chicago.

Last summer, Arslanian competed for Armenia’s U-20 national team at the FIBA European Championship in Romania. He averaged 13.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists at the tournament.
