Audubon will award funding

Conejo Valley Audubon is offering $200 worth of California native plants and design advice from local gardening experts for homeowners to convert their lawn or an unlandscaped area of their yard to a native plant habitat.
Native habitats attract birds and butterflies.
The society has offered the program over the past several years. Recipients claim they have observed over 22 species of yard birds and have received compliments from their neighbors about their new yard.
