United Methodist member named pastor in San Gabriel





Tom Hower, a 10-year member of the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, will be commissioned as a probationary elder in the California-Pacific Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church during the 10:30 a.m. worship Sun., June 25 at the University of Redlands campus during the annual meeting of the conference.

Hower, who completed a master of divinity degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, has been appointed as the associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in San Gabriel.

Hower retired in 2003 from Honeywell as a sales consultant and manger for advanced controls software and services.

The Footprints youth choir from the Westlake Village church, directed by Nick Newkirk, will sing at the conference during the Youth Day worship service at 2 p.m. Sat., June 24.
