Two-day conference on healing ministries and prayer

Conejo Valley Healing Rooms—a Thousand Oaks-based ministry that prays for the healing of body and spirit—will present the Be Healed Conference on Fri. and Sat., Sept. 11 and 12 at Emmanuel Church, 588 Camino Manzanas, Thousand Oaks.

The event hours are from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The doors will open 30 minutes prior.

Eight pastors and ministry leaders from multiple Christian denominations will teach that Jesus Christ heals today.

The conference leaders are: Jill and Dennis Ricci, directors of Conejo Valley Healing Rooms; Dan Stevens, consulting pastor, Emmanuel Church; David Jeffery, pastor of Freedom Church Assembly of God in Thousand Oaks; Tom Stephen, senior pastor of Monte Vista Presbyterian Church in Newbury Park; Kirk and Stacy DeWitt, lead pastors of Conejo Church in Newbury Park; and Reggie Mercado, senior leader, The Fountain Foursquare Church in Moorpark.

The conference theme is “Experience God’s Healing Touch.”

Through worship, teaching and healing prayer ministry, conference attendees can learn what the Bible says about healing and how any Christian can be empowered by the Holy Spirit to lay hands on the sick.

The Riccis will discuss “Doing What Jesus Did and More” from John 14.

Stevens will cover “God’s Desire for Wholeness” regarding spiritual as well as physical healing and how God uses medical professionals to heal.

Jeffery will share how Jesus healed him at age 6 when he was run over by a car, and the DeWitts will speak on “How to Trust God When Healing Doesn’t Happen.”

Stephen will teach on “The Present Power of the Holy Spirit” and how every believer in Jesus can receive the full empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

Closing the conference, Mercado will speak on “Crossing the Chicken Line,” taking risks when praying for the sick. Conference attendees will be activated to take healing ministry in their lives.

Early-bird prices through Aug. 31 are $40 for the full event; $30 for Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and $20 for Friday and Saturday evenings. After Sept. 1 and for walk-ins, prices will increase by $15 for all options.
