Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department arrested two men suspected of breaking into an Oak Park residence Nov. 15 and stealing a firearm.

During their investigation of the robbery in the 5000 block of Pesto Way in Oak Park, detectives assigned to the case had determined a semi-automatic handgun was stolen from a vehicle parked in the garage of the residence.

Stephen Sujata, 21, and Jeremy Rentch, 25, from Oxnard were identified as suspects in the theft and later arrested.

While executing a Nov. 21 search warrant of the home on Hedera Lane in Oxnard where the two men lived, detectives recovered the stolen firearm along with 1.6 grams of cocaine, 164 Xanax pills and two ecstasy pills.

Both men were arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for grand theft of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed and possession of a controlled substance for sale. Sujata was also charged with burglary, the sheriff’s department said.
