Try living here

I’m writing this letter to Florence Amrany about her Feb. 7 letter complaining about the "oppressive" regulations at Country Vistas III in Oak Park.

Ms. Amrany, there’s a place for you to move that’s not too far from your present residence. It’s called Oakview Gardens. This is a PUD (Planned Unit Development).

Here you can live without having to abide by most of the CC&Rs. Our board of directors only enforces the rules of their choosing and very arbitrarily.

Here, you don’t have to park your car in your garage. You can store anything in your garage from the back wall to the door. Children can play anywhere. You don’t have to pick up after your dog. Your dog can bark day or night. You can litter the area or make noise any time, even after 11 p.m. You don’t have to keep your garden neat, especially the backyard.

Isn’t this the ideal place to live, where the CC&Rs don’t mean anything!

Oh, I forgot the one downside. When you go to the pool in the summer, you have to bring your own umbrella because there’s not even one on any of the tables.
