In Leigh Haikin’s letter to the editor (“Help with water”) in the May 24 edition of The Acorn, the writer makes the assumption that Oak Park Water Service does not plan to participate in the new lawn replacement program to be offered by the Metropolitan Water District and that OPWS “is not doing all they can to promote conservation and tap into available funds to subsidize water-wise landscaping in our community.”
This is not accurate.
