Transplant needed



The National Marrow Donor Program wil be conducting a donor testing drive Sun., Feb. 9 on behalf of a 40-year-old Ventura woman who’s battling a life-threatening form of leukemia.
Deborah Bledsoe Hedegard, a mother of two young children, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia last year and has already undergone chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. She recently learned the disease has returned. She previously lived in Agoura Hills.
Doctors say another transplant is needed...
