Trails reopen amid new green growth

SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS—Local mountains and hiking trails are on the mend thanks to the recent rain. Above, new foliage stands in stark contrast to the burned areas on Ladyface Mountain in Agoura Hills. Many of the trails that were closed, such as the one in Liberty Canyon, left, are now open. Hikers are asked to tread lightly, however.
