Traffic snarl

Just another few millions were wasted for those new on ramp lights along the 101. So far they have not been operational, thanks for that. That is one of the many useless “improvements” Caltrans came up with.

I frequently enter the 101 between Calabasas and Newberry Park. And most of the time when I enter the 101 there are maybe one or two cars entering at the same time. Very often I am the only one entering. Yet, legally I have to stop and waste gas.

One of the more busy on ramps from Topanga to the 101 west is usually turned off and that is for obvious reasons. When turned on that creates a back-up all the way back to Burbank Avenue. And since there is only a rather short distance on the freeway before cars have to merge into the next lane, that makes it harder for smaller cars with lower horsepower (the wave of the future?) to merge safely.

Your tax dollars at work and wasted.
