Tournament will help sheriff’s K-9 corps

Bid to play golf with Dennis Quaid


 

 

The 12th annual Ventura Sheriff’s K9 Golf Tournament, hosted by celebrity Dennis Quaid, will take place Mon., Sept. 26 at the Moorpark County Club.

The public can bid to win the Denn is Quaid golf package comprised of: golf with Quaid the entire round as well as entry fees, mulligan package, continental breakfast, lunch and dinner, VIP seating for golfer and one guest during dinner, award ceremony, VIP gift bag, special prize and photos with the winner bidders and Quaid.

Golf Digest ranked Quaid No.1 with a 1.1 USGA handicap in 2005, the first among Hollywood’s top 100.

The top three highest bidders will win.

Bidding starts at $400 per player and ends Fri., Sept. 16. To place a bid, go to facebook.com/vcsdk9unit.

The golf tournament is opened to the public for $175 per player or $600 total for a foursome. This entrance fee includes continental breakfast, full hot dog bar at the turn and dinner.

The tournament is a Texas Scramble with flighted scoring. All flights will have numerous winners and prizes. Thou s an d s of dollars in raffle prizes will be offered as well.

The tourney raises monies for the nonprofit Ventura County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit, which is funded solely through donations of the residents and businesses.
