Touch a moon rock at Ronald Reagan Library

The Reagan Library will host NASA’s “Driven to Explore” traveling exhibit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tues., May 8 and Wed., May 9 in the Air Force One pavilion at 40 Presidential Drive, Thousand Oaks.

Attendees will be able to touch a four-billion-year-old piece of moon rock brought back by Apollo 17 astronauts in 1972. The rock is one of only eight lunar samples made available for the public to touch.

Visitors to the multimedia exhibit will also discover the challenges of human space exploration, and how NASA provides technological advances to improve life on Earth.

The exhibit will also feature the accomplishments of the space shuttle, the space station and information about research and development to increase space travel capabilities. For more information about NASA exploration, visit www.nasa.gov/exploration.
