“Thoroughly Modern Millie” is a throwback to the primordial, pre-“Oklahoma!” era of Broadway when musicals featured lively songs, lots of dancing, two-dimensional characters and disposable stories. “Millie” is fun, fancy and frivolous—one of the better musicals adapted from a motion picture.
