This year’s Christmas trees are pricey

If you end up spending a little more on a real Christmas tree this holiday, don’t blame Mother Nature.
Retail prices on almost all varieties of real Christmas trees are up by around $4 to $5, “and it has nothing to do with the drought,” said Dave Lindren, who owns the 13-acre Big Wave Dave’s Christmas Trees in Camarillo, a second Big Dave lot in Moorpark, and three others in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
