Did you notice the changing of the songbirds in your backyard and at our parks and open spaces? Our feathered winter denizens have arrived from the north.

White-crowned sparrows, hermit thrushes, ruby-crowned kinglets, and other birds have settled in Ventura and Los Angeles counties for their non-breeding season. Additionally, many species of shorebirds and waterfowl are arriving at our ponds, lakes, and oceans.
