The Jaguar XJ: Seven generations of heritage

I was still attending a university in the U.K. when the original XJ6 was launched in September 1968, but I was already writing about cars, albeit as part of my course work, and of course unpaid. Jaguar took a few of us to their factory at Browns Lane, in the English Midlands, to see this revolutionary new car being built. The images have remained with me throughout the years. Workers in brown lab coats building luxury automobiles almost by hand.
