Thanks to the community

The article on our little group of Relay for Life volunteers raising $267,000 for the Borderline victims only scratched the surface of what it took for us to raise that much money selling over 20,000- plus T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats.

We and others began posting links on social media everywhere we could, and the community started showing up in droves. The staff at Eastwind Screenprint began printing almost nonstop for over three weeks, and that’s when the community really jumped in to help.

From the people that showed up to buy shirts and stayed to sell them, to the businesses, festivals, fundraisers and churches that called and said “Can we sell shirts for you too?” we also definitely can’t forget the restaurants that sent over lunches and dinners to keep us going.

We want to take a minute to say thank you. We couldn’t have done this without you. We hope the community will join us in supporting those who supported us:

Side Street Café, Draughts Restaurant and Bar, Country Harvest, Eggs ’n Things Thousand Oaks, Westlake Tavern, Godspeak Calvary Chapel, Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge, Jersey Mike’s, 805 Work & Play, Newbury Park First Christian Church,

Nabu Winery, Journey Church Thousand Oaks, NPHS baseball team Christmas tree lot, D’Amores Pizza, Oxnard Police Department, TOHS baseball team, El Sancho Loco, Corner Bakery, Olive Garden, Panda Express, Newbury Park Cronies, Musicians on a Mission,

Enegren Brewery, Boys & Girls Club, Bandits BBQ, Dominoes, Trader Joe’s Newbury Park, Starbucks-Wendy Drive, Santa’s Tamale Festival, Rock City Studio, Ponies in the Park, Sherwood Country Club, The Arena Grill and Lounge, Sunland Vintage Winery, Total Comfort Systems, Relay for Life CV, Breakfast with Santa and Raffia Boutique.

There are also many individuals who gave much of their time to work at the shop or at events. We will forever be grateful for all the hard work everyone put into this fundraiser. It was most definitely a community effort and we want to thank everyone that took time to serve with us.
