Thanks to city council member

I would personally like to thank Councilmember Barry Groveman for handling the ZIP code issue in Calabasas.

I am glad that something was done about it, but I still think that a lot more can be done.

I understand that the postal service added Calabasas as a city under the 91301 ZIP code, but I think this was the wrong way to go. I believe that what we should have done was to change the ZIP code to 91302. I believe that this is better because in the Los Angeles Times, they catergorize properties under their zip code numbers. For example, the ZIP code of 91302 (Calabasas) has a certain price per square foot, and the price per square foot for 91301 (Agoura) is not as much as the Calabasas price.

I think we should look at the bigger picture and see that in the long run, our houses will not have as much value as the houses two miles away with the 91302 ZIP code.

Hidden Hills is its own city, yet they still have the Calabasas ZIP code, but we don’t have the Calabasas ZIP code and we are in Calabasas.

I believe that changing the ZIP code is the right way to go. Jose Caceres Calabasas
