Testing kids’ patience during pandemic


Even with the apparent flexibility school districts received from the state Department of Education to choose the type of test they’d like to administer, the requirement that students take standardized tests this year makes about as much sense as an inflatable dartboard. (See story on Page 17). There’s not much our school leaders can do, though, as the mandate comes from the Biden administration with strings attached to federal funding.
