A lift from school turned into a nightmarish ride-along for two Westlake High School students this week.

The girls, whom The Acorn is not identifying because they are minors, were catching a ride from a 16-year-old male friend around 12:45 p.m. Monday when a Ventura County sheriff’s deputy pulled up behind them and put on his lights.
