Teacher helps save dogs from pit bull onslaught

Attack unfolded while she was on her way to work

Jodi Loomis, a special education teacher at Lupin Hill Elementary School in Calabasas, was on her way to work Sept. 18 when she stopped to help save a pair of small pooches under attack by angry pit bulls.
Calabasas residents Roslyn and Simeon Peroff were walking two dogs down Thousand Oaks Boulevard around 7:45 a.m. when a pair of pit bulls escaped from their owner and attacked the Peroffs’ dogs, a Yorkshire terrier named Maddie and a Pomeranian named Chloe.
