SNOWED IN—Oak Park residents Michael Green and daughter Viktoria Larson-Green take a walk on frozen Lake Saimaa in Lappeenranta, Finland.
FOUNDING FATHER—The Olson kids of Westlake Village—Riley, 10, Renee, 16, and Natalie, 13—get chummy with a statue of George Washington as they visit Mount Vernon, Va.

READY FOR RAFTING—Kelsey Gilligan, Taylor Burns and Emma Loewenthal of Agoura Hills go rafting on the American River in the Sierra mountains.
ANCIENT TEMPLE—Nathan Sauer of Calabasas takes his Acorn to Chichen-Itza Mayan Ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
