T.O. Farmers’ Market moves back to The Oaks mall





The Thousand Oaks Farmers’ Market will hold a grand opening celebration to celebrate the move back to its original location at The Oaks mall from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thurs., June 25 in the east end parking lot at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Wilbur Road.

Activities include musical entertainment, community activities and free carrot cake.

The Thousand Oaks Police Department will offer child and senior ID prints for free and provide information on home security and community resource information.

The department’s P.T. Cruiser and McGruff the Crime Dog will be available for photos from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Network for a Healthy California will provide information on nutrition and physical activity.

The Oaks will also kick off its outdoor concert series with The Coveralls. Weekly concerts will be scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. in the mall’s new outdoor expansion wing.

The farmers’ market returns to the mall after having occupied space for the past two years at the Hillcrest Center on Hillcrest Drive.

The market offers freshly grown produce including organic varieties, fresh cut flowers and bedding plants.

Food vendors include Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales, Mom’s Products, Yankee Doodle Bakery, Lourdes Tohme Inc., Les Bles Bakery, Marcie’s Pies and Frontier Kettle Korn.

Individuals can download $1 coupons from online (one per family) to redeem at the information booth on site.
