Swimming pools a great way to beat the heat



WENDY PIERRO/Acorn Newspapers COOL DOWN—Sophia Lindner, 5, of Woodland Hills swims with her dad Marc while beating the heat Monday at the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center. The center offers open swim to the public from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from noon to 6:45 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children and $2 for seniors. Children under 4 swim for free.
