Students participate in Tanglewood Program





Community center to host teen activities

Students from area high schools participated in this summer’s Boston University Tanglewood Institute, a program of musical study and performance held in Lenox, Mass. that is recognized internationally as an outstanding educational experience for young artists.

The participants included Matthew Bronstein, who has studied French horn for six years and is the son of Michael and Roberta Bronstein; Corey Klein, who has studied French horn for five years and is the son of Debi Klein; and Steven Lowe, who has studied bassoon for six years and is the son of Steve and Denise Louie. These three students are seniors at Agoura High School.

Charlotte Bashner of Calabasas has studied classical voice for five years. She is a recent graduate of Calabasas High School and the daughter of Brian and Cathy Bashner.

Kevin Paul of Oak Park has studied trumpet for seven years. A junior at Agoura High School, he is the son of Steven and Robin Paul.

The students were among the 338 participants selected from international auditions to work with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston University faculty and world-renowned visiting artists through rehearsals, practices, master classes, and concerts.
