Student achievement scrutinized

With the introduction of Common Core state standards to California schools, the traditional standardized testing that takes place in the spring was for the most part suspended in the 2013- 14 school year. While a test was given, the results weren’t shared with the school districts because it was considered a trial run, a “test of the test.”
Because of that, administrators in Oak Park Unified School District had little to go on when looking at student achievement from last year...
